Summary: It’s saturday morning, it’s sunny and Malia likes to do nice things for Stiles.

In a Saturday morning, Malia wakes up with the first sunlight, entangled in Stiles’s arms and feeling very cozy. It’s getting warmer and the sky looks beautiful, so she carefully leaves the bed, goes to the bathroom and brushes her teeth before sitting by his computer. Her intentions were to study a little, but, instead, she ends up in food’s websites, going through the most diverse recipes.

Stiles is tired for the lacrosse training he had the day before and it’s just 7:30, so she silently goes through his clothes, selecting a grey sweatpants and not bothering to change the tee – also his – that she slept in while the printer spat five recipes she intended on trying that morning. She fished her wallet from her purse, checked if there was enough money, folded the recipes and left a note in case he wakes before she’s back.

Happily, as if life is simple, Malia Tate walks to the closest store – just a couple of blocks from his house – and have a nice half hour choosing and buying items that would be transformed in a delicious meal.

Back to the Stilinski home, the Sheriff is awake, with a hot coffee mug in his hand and a sleepy expression, but he doesn’t forget to offer help with the many bags she was carrying. She announces she’s making brunch and ushers him out of the kitchen. It’s time for work.

Around 9 a.m. (so much later than his normal wake hour), Stiles goes down to the kitchen hungry and mesmerized by the smell just to find Malia covered in flour and chocolate.

“I’m making bread.” She proudly tells him. “It’s a different kind of bread, something Latin, don’t know exactly from where and don’t care, it looks and smells delicious, it’s almost ready. And I’m making brigadeiro cookies.”

“Brigadeiro cookies?” he echoes, confused.

“Yes.” She confirms. “Brigadeiro is a Brazilian candy I decided we needed in our lives and I’m mixing it with cookies, I think it will be a blast. We’ll also have eggs, bacon and a sausage mix to eat with bread and orange juice and can you please make us some apple tea?”

He smiles at how silly and beautiful she looks and agrees. He helps her clean everything up and comments on how good everything looks. He cleans the flour and chocolate marks in her face, but gets little success – she’ll need a shower to take everything out. She calls for Mr. Stilinski, who had fallen asleep again watching Formula 1 and they all sit to eat at exactly 11:45.

Life could be that simple sometimes.

We’re too similar, losing our minds with cabin fever, shut in confined spaces, lost in the dark. My heart is taken and resting on your heart.” Daughter

It was happening again, the same nightmare. He was at school, but it was snowing and it looked like a garden. Exactly like that night, the Oni was there, they swords in hand fighting Scott and Kira and Allison was there too; and he… he was too weak to help, Lydia holding him to keep him steady. Everything was being replayed and it’d happen any second - the moment he as told so many times - Allison, with her bow, killing one of them, just to be stabbed right after.

And he. Was too weak. To do something about it.

That was the year I knew the panic was over, yet since we found out that anything could happen…
Ellie Goulding

Stiles was sitting with Scott in one of the tables outside the school facility, waiting for the girls. Two weeks had passad and people were trying to move on with their lives, but it couldn’t be that easy for them could it? His favorite activity at the moment was try and think about nothing. And he was getting very good at it. Sometimes.

“Guess who we just saw?” Lydia asked, as soon as she and Kira approached. The boys just shrugged. “Malia.”

Stiles’ eyes were instantaneously wide.

Malia is here?” he asked surprised. Lydia nodded.

“I think she enrolled.”

“Malia is here?” he echoed and the three friends exchanged a worried look.

“Yeah. What’s the big deal?” Kira asked cautiosly.

He stood up, suddenly anxious. The think-about-nothing thing not working anymore.

“She hasn’t called me back in ages! Remember what I told you, Scott? About helping her?”

“Yeah, b-” Scott started, but Stiles cut him.

“Where did you see her?” he asked Lydia, his hands in her shoulders, their faces really close. She raised an eyebrow, unsure if curious or scared.

“Near my locker ten minutes ago, she was talking to Coach Finstock. Jesus, Stiles, chill!”

Suddenly he noticed that maybe he was being a bit intense and he took a deep breath.

“Okay. Sorry.” Stiles apologized and held the strips of his backpack. “I need to find her.” and headed to the building right after the words, ignoring his friends calls.

He went to the obvious place - the secretary - and waited on the hall. She wouldn’t leave so fast, would she? If Coach was showing her the school, she still would have to go to the secretary and have a little last chat with the dean, get her locker number and stuff. So Stiles kept on waiting, passing from one side to the other until he heard her voice.

Malia really was there, shaking the dean’s hand, proving to be a very polite young lady and promising to be a good student. He knew that because it was what everyone promised when they first got to BHHS.

And when he sighed, relieved to see her again, she turned her head, as if she sensed him - and she probably did. Their eyes met and they smiled at the same time. He didn’t register much and the next thing he remembers is that she was right in front of him, her dark brown eyes a mix of happy and uncertainty that warmed his heart.

“Hi.” Malia said, still smiling.

“Hi.” Stiles answered. He wanted to do something, but his hands seemed to be glued to the backpack stripes, his brain blank.

“It’s been a while.” She said. Malia had this thing about looking into people’s eyes, it was mesmerizing.

“Why didn’t you take my calls?” He asked, sounding more hurt than he intended and she bit her lip, looking down. “Malia?”

In a moment, the glue was gone and he reached to her face, making her look at him again.

“I heard about your friend and I didn’t know what to do.” She said and he took a deep breath, lowering his hands.

“Well, you didn’t need to do anything. You still don’t need to. You can just… be here, if you must.”

She smiled awkwardly, blushed cheeks and looked anywhere but him; the memories of that fateful night when they thought everything would be lost anyway rushing through their minds. Stiles swallowed, also blushed. They were closer than it would be comfortable, they realized.

“Does it need to be weird?” he asked low, gesturing both of them and she raised her head.

“It?” the girl repeated and he gesticulated again. A small smile attempted to scape and Malia looked into Stiles eyes.

“Because I don’t think it d-” he was cut mid-sentence by her lips in his and his eyes went wide with surprise for a instant - and the next, she pulled away. “You women always catch me unprepared.” he said, making her laugh, cheeks red.

The following moment he had a arm around her waist and the other hand on her neck, fingers tangled in her hair, and kissed her properly this time. Her hands clutched the front of his jacket, trying to erase even more the space between them.

“Well, no wonder he wanted so much to find you.” Scott said behind them and the immediately jumped back, startled. He was with Kira and Lydia, and the banshee smiled at Stiles, an eyebrow raised as if she knew things. “Are you gonna study here, Malia?”

Stiles rolled his eyes at the stupid question, but Malia let it pass. This time.

“Yes. Just enrolled.”

“Cool. Stiles told me about your agreement. I have time today, wanna have some wolf lessons?”

Malia smiled and looked to Stiles, who nodded. She nodded too.

Summary: In order to restore the destiny of the world from the hands of the Time Masters, someone had to sacrifice. It was an extreme situation with no turning back, and Leonard knew it well when he took Mick's place. He was ready. Except that time has a way of doing what it wants..

Beginning

The Wellspring

At first, everything was light. It didn't burn like his father's cigarettes that he remembered so well, it didn't freeze like the attack of his own gun, his life didn't pass through his eyes. He didn't even move, nor was pushed away from the bridge with the impact. There was no impact. There was no anything.

Everything was light and blue (like her eyes), bright and piercing. Painless. At least that; at least there wasn't pain.

And then everything was over.
